The Scituate Duathlon aims to redefine the Sprint Race format and expand it by creating an educational, family friendly, day-long atmosphere in which racers can come to race, and amateurs and spectators gain much more.

Scituate is the gem of the South Coastal Massachusetts Harbor Towns, and its harbor and waterways have been the envy of the sailors' stomping grounds for centuries, which helped make it the ship-building center of the 19th and early 20th centuries. This race will open this quaint seaside town to the roaming eye, and bring this corner of the South Shore to the public in a new way.

Our family and spectator friendly race is based in the center of Scituate. By focusing our expo and layout on family fun and engaging the local merchants in new creative ways, we are bringing the whole community together to support this race actively. This allows us to expand the Expo, expand the services and coordination of the event, and increase the advantages of racing, charity, education and safety.

Finally, the Scituate Duathlon is all about the message. Sure we are raising money for our amazing charities. And yes, we want you to work and train hard to help us give! But we want much more than that. Our charities are LOCAL, and directly impact the families and people in the immediate South Shore area. That means we want you to open your eyes and keep your heads up while you race, because you will learn more about the people that inspire us than at any other race you have attended... we promise you that!
